Beauty from Brokenness

“You will have suffering in this world….” (John 16:33b). That’s a hard statement, but we’ve all experienced the effects of brokenness. It manifests itself in

  • Marital problems
  • Family issues
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Grief
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

The reality is that brokenness can come at any time. It can come to you, your family, or someone you know. But no matter when it happens, no matter who you are—we want to help.

Christ Counseling Ministry offers a team of dedicated, licensed professional counselors who have the training and experience to help you walk through these difficult times. They approach each session with you from a uniquely Christian perspective.

Thankfully, John 16:33 doesn’t stop with the fact that there will be suffering. It continues, “Be courageous! I have conquered the world.” With the Holy Spirit, the right tools, and a trustworthy trained guide—you can grow and learn to live a life of wholeness in Jesus Christ.

Brokenness can come at any time. It can come to you, your family, or someone you know. But no matter when it happens, no matter who you are—we want to help.

Vision
Our vision is that people who have been broken by our fallen world will experience restoration and healing through Jesus Christ, in all areas of their being: physically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. (John 10:10)

Mission
Christ Counseling Ministry offers clinically trained professionals devoted to restoring lives to wholeness in Christ through Christ-centered counseling, teaching, and prayer.

Values
Redemption:
New life, lived to the fullest, is possible for all through a relationship with God the Father by salvation through Jesus Christ. (John 3:16, Colossians 1:13–14)

Truth: There is absolute Truth and it is found in God’s Word, the Holy Bible as revealed through Jesus Christ by God the Father. (John 1:1, 2 Timothy 3:16)

Worth: All human beings are of infinite worth and value in God’s eyes and deserve to be treated with dignity and respect by others. (Genesis 1:27)

Voice: Everyone, especially those who have previously felt marginalized or victimized, should  be able to freely express their needs, emotions, fears, and desires.

Safety & Security: People deserve to feel both safe and secure. Our environment is one where clients, counselors, and staff are safe to be who God created them to be and where they can express themselves and their feelings with no judgment.

Autonomy: An understanding that with proper boundaries, people can have control over their own lives and make decisions about their own beliefs; individuals are responsible for who and what they will allow to affect their thoughts and feelings.

Christ Counseling Ministry exists to provide affordable, professional Christian counseling so people can experience wholeness in Christ.

Our History

Christ Counseling Ministry began in 1991 with Jay and Susan Rogers praying with hurting people. Soon they were joined by a group of friends with a vision: spiritual growth and the healing of individuals and families through economically accessible professional counseling services. They gathered together around the table and spent much time in prayer as this vision became a reality.

One by one, four other counselors joined Jay and Susan. Christ’s Home Place Ministries became incorporated and received non-profit status over the next three years. Then, in 2017 the name of the ministry was changed to Christ Counseling Ministry to clarify what the organization does and better reflect our mission.

The ministry has continued to grow. With counselors, a Clinical Director, Administrative Director, staff, board, and continued dedication to prayer—CCM is more equipped than ever to meet the needs of our community. And we are still gathering around a table… It’s just a bit bigger.
